No More Waiting for your Keyboard to feel Broken in.
Grade 0 lubricants: Standard lubricants are NCLI grade 2. In comparison to a grade 2, a grade 0 lubricant utilizes less thickener in the oil, in TriboSys’ and Krytox’s instance less PTFE in the PFPE oil. As a result, these greases are defined as a semi-fluid, or is more liquidly. In the keyboard industry the added value these types of lubricants bring are the benefits of a grease: easier to apply, non-migrating, and a better barrier of protection for high intensity actuations. However, these semi-fluids also have the added benefits of an oil which offer seamless actuations, favorable acoustics and tactile properties. It is critical to only apply a thin layer of the lubricant to achieve optimal lubrication without sacrificing the performance of the key switches.
The least viscous of the grade 0 lubricants. Ideal for tactile switches, especially for novice lubricators.
The middle viscous of the grade 0 lubricants and an all-around general grade 0 lubricant. It is recommended for both tactile, linear, and silent switches depending on the user’s preference and experience with lubricating keyboards. Typically, the lower viscosity, the more you can feel the keys and the easier the lubricant is to work with. For novice linear switch lubricators or for those who really want to feel their linear switch keys, this is the product for you.
Krytox™ GPL 205g0
The thickest of the grade 0 lubricants. It is highly recommended for linear switches, preferably for those who have experience lubricating keyboards. Also recommended for key stabilizers and silent switches.
Krytox™ GPL 106 & 105
A thick oil that is highly recommended for springs. Also recommended for expert lubricators that are familiar with working with oils and prefer to really feel their linear switches. A thinner oil with the GPL 105 and a thicker oil with the GPL 106 is also available.
